As per my own experience, some basic knowledge you need to know before renting an apartment in Canada.
1. What is one and a half apartment (1 1/2)? two and a half (2 1/2)? three and a half (3 1/2)?
one and a half (1 1/2): one room only (combo of living room+bedroom) plus a washing room ("the half")
two and a half (2 1/2): one room, one kitchen plus a washing room.
three and a half (3 1/2): one bedroom, one living room, one kitchen plus a washing room
